Tavaris Jackson Must Go! The Vikings Need Culpepper Back!

As a life long Minnesota Vikings fan. I just had an epiphany, Tavaris Jackson must go! Minnesota must pull the plug on the Tavaris Jackson experiment if they are going to salvage the 2008 season.

Take a look at these past NFL quarterbacks; Ryan Leaf, Aaron Brooks, J.P. Losman, Kyle Orton, Joey Harrington, Kyle Boller, Ken Dorsey, Chad Hutchinson, Kordell Stewart, and David Carr. What do all of these quarterbacks have in common Tavaris Jackson. Going back to the year 2000 checking NFL stats, they all had quarterback ratings that were about the same as Jackson.

Tavaris Jackson has not been asked to carry the current incarnation of the Vikings. He has the best running back in the NFL in the backfield. All Jackson has to do is complete a couple passes. This past Sunday he threw 24 passes and completed 14. For about 130 yards. At this time in his development he needs to have at least one 200 or 300 yard game.

If the Vikings are going to stick with Jackson the need to change their office to a wishbone. Two backs in the backfield and Jackson running option on most plays. Pass maybe 5 or 6 times a game to keep the defense honest.

Attention Brad Childress please get on the phone and apologize to Daunte Culpepper. I would rather take my chances with two veterans, Culpepper and Ferotte, than a quarterback that shows no improvement.

It's the only hope to save the Vikings 2008 NFL season.

NFL Week 2 NFL Fantasy Football Tips

O.K. guys we are on week two of the NFL season. Those of you who had Tom Brady as your first pick in the draft like I did you can still salvage this season. This week I'll take a look at Quarterback for week 2.

Do you go with Matt Cassell to take you through the season. I say no. I don't think the Patriots will go far with Cassell. If I was their coach I would put a call in to Dante Culpepper and see if he could come out of retirement and get his magic going with Moss again. Those guys were great with the Vikings and it would be great to see them playing together with the Patriots.

My top picks for a replacement to Brady if they are available. I would go with 1. Brett Favre 2. Tavaris Jackson 3. Aaron Rogers 4. Jay Cutler. I think any of these guys will put up descent numbers week to week. It's hard to tell if Jay Cutler was that good last week, or the Raiders were that bad. He is getting Brandon Marshall back this week so I think he'll be good again this week against the Chargers. Favre looked solid for the Jets, Jackson has the potential to put up big rushing yards along with passing yards. Aaron Rogers will be fine as Favre's replacement.

Make sure to grab Turner from the Falcons if he's available.

Dante Culpepper Retires

According to ESPN and multiple new sources. Dante Culpepper has retired. Culpepper was unable to catch on with a team this off season.

Being a Vikings fan it's a sad day. One of the greatest years the Vikings ever had offensively was when Culpepper and Moss were together in Minnesota.

We'll miss you Dante. Good look in the future.
